Hospitalist Physician

Hospitalist Job - Tawas City, Michigan AVAILABILITY / SCHEDULE :

Position Type : Full-time Days

Shifts : 12-hour shifts, 7 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM

Census : Up to 15 patients plus new admissions and rapid responses

Reason for Recruitment : New position due to growing community need LICENSING & CERTIFICATIONS :

Degree : MD or DO

License : Michigan medical license (or eligible to obtain)

Certifications Required :

AHA-approved BLS

AHA-approved ACLS CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

Medical management of inpatients

Admission orders and H&P documentation

Respond to rapid response calls

Medical consultations, including co-management of surgical patients

General inpatient admissions

Procedures required :

Paracentesis

Thoracentesis

Tunneled Dialysis Catheter (TDC) placement

Chest tubes

Central lines
