Job Details

  • Physical Therapist II assesses individual patients' Physical Therapy needs and establishes and implements treatment programs.
  • Reviews medical history, applies screening tests, and meets with patient and family to determine clinical needs, impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities.
  • Determines plan of care including interventions, therapy intensity and duration, and discharge recommendations.
  • Provides education to patient, family, and / or caregiver regarding activity purpose, equipment use, home exercise, and activity.
  • Performs regular re-examinations, measures outcomes, and seeks feedback from patient, family, and interdisciplinary medical team.
  • Oversees clinical work of Physical Therapist Assistant and Rehabilitation Aide.
  • Manages multiple patients simultaneously and provides care in multiple clinical settings and locations.
  • Provides timely and accurate services and documentation in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
  • Participates in continuing education and incorporates new information into practice.
  • Assists with educating and orienting new staff, acts as clinical instructor for students and interns, and participates as instructor in established classes or programs.
  • Participates in educational events within the clinic and community.
  • Attends specific clinical education coursework meeting Physical Therapy Board of California guidelines and provides in-services to staff.
