Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services to patients in an out-patient setting within an assisted living community. Your role will be crucial in helping individuals regain independence and improve their quality of life.

Duties :

• Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
• Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, activities, and interventions
• Monitor and document patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary
• Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to develop and modify treatment goals
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for continued progress at home
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Qualifications :

Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant

Experience in rehabilitation, or geriatrics is preferred

Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Pay : $28.00 - $36.00 per hour
