Job descriptionProvide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for a range of urgent and emergent conditions Manage same-day and next-day appointments as well as walk-in visits in both urgent care and rapid care settings Deliver care to patients with diverse acute complaints, ensuring high-quality clinical outcomes Perform procedures and interventions commonly encountered in urgent care and emergency department environments Document all patient encounters using Epic EMR Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to support patient care delivery Adhere to all clinical protocols and safety standards Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Must have recent experience in both ER and urgent care settings Active California PA license required Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities Whether you need long term coverage for your practice, short term vacation coverage, or anything in between – you can trust Barton Associates to provide the flexible staffing solutions your organization needs to thrive. About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 91-day locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity begins on Dec 1, 2025, and offers a schedule split between urgent care and rapid care in the emergency department, with 8-hour shifts. The ideal candidate must have recent ER and urgent care experience and be comfortable managing same-day and next-day appointments as well as walk-in patients.
