CHS is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team in Devils Lake, ND.

This onsite role provides day-to-day support for business unit customers and vendors throughout the procure-to-pay process, with a primary focus on direct spend-related Accounts Payable tasks such as invoice review, processing for resale and inventory, and ensuring compliance with SOX requirements. The Specialist will prepare documents for payment, address customer inquiries, and collaborate across multiple business units and locations.

In addition to core A / P responsibilities, the role will involve Accounts Receivable functions, participation in special projects, and support for various office activities. The successful candidate will be adaptable, eager to learn, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while seeking opportunities for process improvement. The ideal individual will be comfortable navigating complex processes, understanding corporate structures, and engaging with key stakeholders, all while demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities \n

• Track receipt of data and source documents.
• Prepare and sort source documents and interpret data to be entered.
• Contact preparers of source document to resolve questions, inconsistencies or missing data.
• Maintain accurate and complete client files / filing.
• Perform data entry in the Accounts Payable / Account Receivable System from source documents, complete necessary coding, confirm accuracy of data, and make necessary corrections.
• Contribute to team efforts to achieve results as required.
• Perform general clerical duties such as typing, scanning, copying, answering phones, filing, etc.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned.
