Overview
Position Highlights :
- Outpatient Only - No inpatient responsibilities
- 10-hour day shifts with every other weekend rotation
- Patient Volume : Approximately 25-30 patients per day
- Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Transition Program : Eligible providers may participate in the ThriveAP transition-to-practice program, supported by the Beebe Medical Foundation
Responsibilities
Beebe Healthcare is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide direct patient care in our Walk-In Clinic. You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages (6 months to geriatric) while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Perform clinical assessments, evaluations, and treatments for patients across the lifespan.Diagnose and manage medical and surgical conditions in an urgent care setting.Interpret and analyze diagnostic tests, including EKGs, X-rays, and lab results.Perform minor procedures, including :Foreign body removal
Incision and drainage of abscessesNosebleed management, including device placementLaceration repair, including suturing, wound adhesive, and skin closure techniquesOrthopedic injury management, including splinting, fracture care, and X-ray interpretationProvide preventative care, risk assessments, coaching, and patient counseling.Handle emergency and unexpected situations with professionalism and efficiency.Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure compliance with clinical protocols.Qualifications
Required :
Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) programActive licensure in Delaware or ability to obtain upon job offerCurrent BLS certification (per American Heart Association guidelines)Preferred :
Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or walk-in clinic settingsStrong procedural competency in outpatient careCompetencies Skills
