RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise. We are seeking an Entry-Level to Experienced candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility.

Entry Level Mechanical Engineer

This individual will be responsible for developing and validating Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) models to support the design of new products, as well as troubleshooting existing products.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional teams to design and verify the performance goals of cooling systems, HVAC systems, and engines
  • Provide engineering analysis support using software to model complex thermal and fluid systems
  • Use of Ensight for post-processing
  • Use of Kuli to model and predict cooling system performance
  • Provide design engineering team with accurate design recommendations of corrective action
  • Perform after-test correlation with CFD models to improve analysis methodology

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Previous experience with Creo (Pro / Engineer) or other 3D CAD software
  • Basic understanding of cooling systems and diesel engines
  • Excellent communication - both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment

    • Desired Attributes

  • Strong understanding of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics
  • Design experience or exposure to large machinery
  • Desire to work in a fast paced engineering environment focusing on robust designs, quality of product, and accuracy of results

    Pay Range : $65,000-$75,000 – Commensurate with experience
