A facility in Williamsport, PA is seeking locum coverage for a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician. The role involves inpatient rounding, consultations, and managing a diverse patient population primarily suffering from neurological and trauma conditions. Schedule :
Weekdays : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM
Call : One week of night call per month, 4 : 30 PM - 8 : 00 AM
Setting : Inpatient Rehab

Duties :

Inpatient Rounding : Up to 20 patients per day

Admissions : 2-3 per day

Consults : 4-5 per day

Patient Population :

Neuro : 60% (brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury)

Trauma : 30%

Other (including orthopedic injuries, myopathies, cardiac patients) : 10%

Credentialing :

Days to Privilege : 60

Privileges Available : Full Privileges; Temp Privileges

Certification Requirements :

Board Certified / Board Eligible : Required

State License : Pennsylvania (will accept candidates needing to obtain a license)

Certifications Required : BLS

DEA : Required

Additional Information :

Support Staff : Available

EMR / Charting : Cerner

Call Types : Telephone; Beeper

On-Call Details : Typically, no admissions during call, but night call coverage is required one week per month.
