Hiring ASAP - Part Time Cook

We are seeking a talented and experienced Wok Cook to join our team at Philippe Chow in Washington DC. As a Wok Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality Beijing Style cuisine using traditional wok cooking techniques. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure that all dishes are prepared to our standards and delivered to our guests in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes using wok cooking techniques
• Follow recipes and cooking methods to ensure consistency and quality
• Maintain a clean and organized work station
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages to the kitchen manager
• Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented according to company standards
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and improve existing ones
• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Extensive knowledge of wok cooking techniques and Chinese cuisine
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
