The Pharmacist will dispense drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners and provide information to patients about medications and their use. He or she may advise physicians and other health practitioners on the selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects of medications. The pharmacist with work with the team to ensure compliance with Federal, State and local laws and regulations, as well as proper storage and documentation of the pharmaceuticals is followed.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLIITIES :

- Responsible for monitoring the supply of all medicines used in the hospital and are in charge of purchasing, manufacturing, dispensing and quality testing their medication stock.
- Review appropriateness of prescribed medication therapy.
- Provide medication information and consultation to patients, nurses and medical staff.
- Interpret prescriptions, compound and dispense medications.
- Prepare and maintains all necessary records on medication therapy, prescriptions, patient charges, medical records and inventory.
- Perform cognitive clinical pharmacy services and document findings and actions in accordance with standards of the medical center.
- May assist in the training of technicians, externs, interns, residents and other department staff.
- Serve as a role model and mentor to co-workers and practitioners.
REQUIREMENTS :
