Job description

About This Role :

Join our dynamic Business Development team at Gartner, where we play a pivotal role in expanding our reach in the global market. As a Business Development Executive, you will strategically acquire new clients by fostering trust-based relationships with C-level executives. Your deep understanding of their critical priorities will help you uncover opportunities to deliver exceptional client value tailored to their specific industries.

You'll manage the complete sales cycle, from identifying potential prospects to successfully closing deals and transitioning new accounts to our dedicated account management team.

We are committed to building long-term, value-driven relationships with our clients, ensuring an unparalleled client experience while also focusing on achieving and exceeding your sales metrics. You will work with Large-Enterprise prospects, targeting organizations with over $1 billion in annual revenue.

What You Will Do :

  • Actively seek and drive new business opportunities with organizations new to Gartner within your assigned territory, handling everything from initial outreach to closing targeted Large Enterprises.
  • Convert viable prospects into active Gartner clients, managing the entire sales conversation and negotiation, and oversee the seamless transition to the account management team.
  • Continuously build a robust pipeline of high-quality leads to consistently meet and exceed your sales targets.
  • Take responsibility for achieving quotas within your assigned territory.
  • Manage complex, high-revenue sales within diverse business environments.
  • Own forecasting and account planning processes on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

What You Will Need :

  • At least 5 years of B2B sales experience, particularly in complex and intangible sales environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in business development or new-client acquisition roles is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence C-level executives.
  • A track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong skills in managing and forecasting complex sales processes.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

    Gartner believes in pay equity. The estimated salary range for this position is $98,000 - $143,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as education, training, experience, professional achievement, and location. Additionally, employees participate in an annual bonus plan or an uncapped sales incentive plan. We provide comprehensive benefits programs, including generous PTO, a 401k match, opportunities to purchase company stock at a discount, and more.
