Automotive / Aerospace machine shop is looking for a highly motivated and efficient CNC Machinist to add to our team. We produce high quality automotive and Aerospace parts, fixtures and dies. Work NC knowledge a plus.
We are looking for a full time Machinist that can work day shift Monday-Friday 6am-4 : 30pm. Saturdays (based on work load), 6am-11 : 00am. We are looking for an operator for a new UMC 1000. Education :
High School Diploma or GED3-5 years experienceKnowledge of proper use of measuring tools / gauges and cutting toolsMachinists should be familiar with the following tools (which they may use on a daily basis); measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height, and depth gauges)High level experience in contour and manual machining : knowledge of cutting and holding techniques; thorough understanding of speeds and feeds; understand material properties and be able to match equipment and techniques to various materials.Duties and Responsibilities :
Responsible for cutting and maintaining the stock of raw materials used to fabricate parts. Once stock gets low report the low stock levelsSet up jobs, this setup process typically involves reviewing work instructions, programming CNC machines using Work NC, setting up raw material in mill, setting cutters / tooling needed to cut job.Oversee machine maintenance checking for wear and adding fluids. They constantly monitor the machines' performance and identify areas that are lacking. If problems are identified, the machinist brings it to supervisors attention to make sure it is completed in a timely manner.Additional Requirements :
