Merrick & Company is seeking a GIS student for a paid summer internship for Summer 2026 at our Tucker, GA project office. The summer internship has a commitment of approximately mid-May through mid-August 2026.
We will be accepting resumes for this opportunity from approximately September - October 2025. Resumes will be reviewed as they are received. Interviews will take place in the Fall / Winter. Offers will be extended in Winter / Spring. Timeframe subject to change.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Merrick Intern Program will provide an undergraduate or graduate student an opportunity to gain technical experience in the field of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) processing.
The position requires the collaboration with other disciplines, ability to interface with clients and contractors, follow schedules and budget commitments, work independently, possess good written and oral communication skills and the ability to problem solve.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have graduation date after August 2026 to be eligible.
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geography, GIS, Geomatics, or a similar major
- Must be currently enrolled and entering junior year or higher of degree program
- College courses in ESRI ArcGIS / ArcPro is required
- Knowledge and / or courses in GIS including :
Data management
