Location : Portland, ME 04102 (Maine nursing jobs)

Healthcare Setting : Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) – 21 bays

Employment Type : Travel Nursing Assignment

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 7 / 2025 – End : 3 / 7 / 2026)

Shifts : Varied 12-hour shifts (0700-1930, 0800-2030, 0900-2130, 1100-2330)

Hours per Week : 36 (rotating weekends and call requirements)

Patient Ratios : 1 : 2, 1 : 3

Equipment : Abbot Pumps, CAD pumps, Venodynes, Philips monitors

EMR : EPIC

Estimated weekly salary : $1,880 - $2,020

PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license in Maine or compact state (Registered Nurse jobs in Maine)

Minimum 1 year of PACU or critical care nursing experience (5+ years preferred)

Certifications required : ACLS, PALS, BLS

Experience in post anesthesia care and Phase 2 recovery

ICU background highly desirable

EPIC EMR experience preferred

Ability to float to other nursing units as needed

PACU RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to post anesthesia and critical care patients

Monitor patient recovery and respond promptly to changes in condition

Utilize advanced medical equipment and EMR systems for patient management

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Participate in rotating weekend and on-call schedules

Maintain professional attire (scrubs : green or blue provided, or personal scrubs)

Float to other hospital units as required
