CVICU RN Job Details Location : Florence, SC 29505 (South Carolina nursing jobs) Setting : Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) – Acute Care Hospital Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Start Date : December 1, 2025 End Date : March 2, 2026 Duration : 13-week contract Shift : 3x12-hour day shifts (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM), holiday rotation Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Patient Ratio : 1 : 2 Float Requirement : Yes, within scope and similar units Charting : Epic EMR Scrub Color : Royal Blue Parking : Free on-site parking Estimated Weekly Salary : $1570-$1680 CVICU Registered Nurse Qualifications Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license (required prior to start) Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU RN experience (2 years preferred) Travel nursing experience required Cardiac and neuro nursing experience required Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Experience with Epic charting system preferred Not accepting first-time travelers or local candidates (must reside outside a 60-mile radius) Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions considered) CVICU RN Responsibilities Deliver expert care to adult and geriatric patients in the CVICU, including post-open heart and post-cardiac surgery cases Operate and manage advanced cardiovascular equipment : chest tubes, IABP, Impella, CRRT, temporary pacers, Swan Ganz, cardiac output monitors Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips Assist with procedures : arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy and phlebotomy Float to similar critical care units as needed Maintain infection prevention and isolation protocols Participate in scheduled holiday and weekend rotations Discover rewarding CVICU nursing jobs in Florence, SC.
