Unit Details : Be part of our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit, providing care for patients with a range of conditions including :
Post-operative craniotomies and complex spine surgeriesCaring for stroke patients within our Comprehensive Stroke ProgramHigh volume of spine surgery patients with medical overflow casesKey Responsibilities :
Deliver and coordinate comprehensive, evidence-based patient care.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for safe, therapeutic care.Apply clinical judgment and critical thinking for optimal outcomes.Support a positive patient experience across the care continuum.Assess patient needs and implement individualized care plans.Implement strategies to enhance patient safety and reduce risk.Actively coordinate discharge planning with a team-based approach.Participate in quality improvement initiatives to better patient care.Qualifications :
Registered Nurse license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.Completion of an accredited program in Nursing.A minimum of 1 year clinical nursing experience is preferred.Proficient in technology and electronic medical records.Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Physical Requirements : Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing throughout the workday. Exposure to potentially hazardous materials is anticipated; appropriate safety measures must be adhered to.
