Driver / Operator of Company Vehicles

Driver / operator of company vehicles, providing courteous and efficient delivery of packages and providing related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High school diploma / GED.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this position. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and / or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned. Neat appearance since customer contact may be required. Drivers vehicles not regulated by section 391 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

Must be 21 or older and have had a valid driver's license for the previous one-year period

Pay Transparency

This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the salary information represents the job level minimum and the job level maximum. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience related to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. With limited exceptions, Casual Couriers are not eligible to participate in FedEx benefit programs. This is a non-benefit position.

Pay

Starting $23.21 an hour / Hourly Range $23.21 - $32.83

Additional Details

Part Time Casual Courier, you will select work hours and shifts based upon availability of shifts. You can work up to a maximum of 8 hours a day and 24 hours a week with a requirement of working at least once every 90 days to remain active.
