Position Overview
The Crew Chief plays a pivotal role in coordinating and executing restoration projects with a focus on customer satisfaction, safety, and efficiency. As a front-line representative of the SERVPRO® brand, the Crew Chief will lead and manage production technicians, ensure high-quality service delivery, and maintain a safe work environment. This position requires hands-on leadership and technical skills, ensuring projects meet customer expectations and are completed on time.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate a positive customer experience, ensuring clients are satisfied with services rendered.
- Communicate clear expectations to production technicians, providing supervision and guidance throughout the project.
- Coordinate and perform restoration tasks as scheduled while ensuring quality control and timely completion.
- Identify safety hazards, implement safety and risk management measures, and oversee adherence to safety and risk management guidelines on job sites.
- Maintain accurate and detailed job files, including project progress, materials used, and services provided.
- Control labor and consumable usage, ensuring efficient use of resources while protecting company assets.
- Coach and train production technicians, helping them develop skills and adhere to best practices.
- Provide regular updates to the production manager and office staff about project progress, challenges, and needs.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance of vehicles and equipment, and oversee facility and grounds maintenance, as assigned.
- Continuously enhance production expertise, staying up-to-date on restoration services, cleaning products, and equipment.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 3 years of experience in cleaning, restoration, or construction, and supervisory experience is required. The role involves managing, leading, and mentoring a team, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.Strong oral and written communication skills. Bi-lingual abilities are a plus.Tech savvy with a solid understanding of restoration processes, tools, and equipment.IICRC certifications preferred (WRT, ASD, AMRT, SMOKE & ODOR, BIO-HAZARD, OSHA 10 & 30).Must possess a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record. The ability to maintain a satisfactory driving history throughout employment is required, unless reasonable accommodations are needed in accordance with applicable law.Must be able to successfully pass a background check, motor vehicle record review, and drug screening.Physical and Work Environment Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, and navigate tight spaces such as crawl spaces and attics.Capable of repetitively pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying objects, including working overhead,Ability to move items up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.Ability to work long hours, including performing physically demanding tasks in confined or challenging environments.While performing job duties, employees may be frequently exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and occasionally extreme conditions such as heat and unpleasant odors. The work environment and job sites may also involve loud noise levels. For safety, employees may be required to wear a respirator at times.Work Schedule
