UPMC is hiring MRI Technologists to support the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry, PA-the premier training center for the Pittsburgh Penguins and home to a world-class UPMC Sports Medicine facility. This first-of-its-kind, 185,000-square-foot complex is dedicated to treating, training, and inspiring athletes of all levels. Enjoy free parking, an incredible facility just off I-79, and a workplace unlike anywhere else.
This role offers a unique 3-day schedule working three 13-hour shifts (6 : 30 AM-8 : 00 PM) each week. In addition to working at the Lemieux complex, you'll rotate every other weekend and holidays at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, providing even broader exposure in a nationally recognized academic medical center.

What You'll Do
Perform MRI procedures independently, using sound clinical judgment and technical expertise.
Maintain competency in all MRI exams and equipment, ensuring high-quality imaging every time.
Practice strict MR safety and verify patient identity using two identifiers.
Review patient history and physician orders, apply proper protocols, and prepare / administer contrast as needed.
Present relevant case information to physicians before each exam.
Document patient data accurately in the EMR and Rad Assessment.
Ensure proper coding, tracking, archiving, and charging for all exams using RIS and ISITE systems.
Demonstrate compassionate, clear communication that supports patient comfort and cooperation.
Collaborate with other sports medicine and radiology professionals to deliver fast, exceptional care.
Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology, or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT or ARDMS program required.
ARRT registry eligible technologist must obtain ARRT within 6 months of hire date.
MR registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired or date of hire if primary registry is already obtained.
CNMT, ARDMS and ARMRIT graduates must obtain MR registry within 12 months of hire date.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances :
CPR or BLS Required. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
ARRT Certificate OR American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)
