Role Summary

The Development Director provides strategic leadership and oversight of AlphaX’s real estate development portfolio, ensuring projects advance from acquisition through construction and stabilization in alignment with company goals. This role sets the overall development strategy, secures financing, manages investor relationships, and ensures the successful execution of master‑planned communities, affordable housing, and mixed‑use developments. The Development Director is a senior leader who represents AlphaX externally and plays a key role in shaping the company’s growth and long‑term impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the development strategy for AlphaX’s growing California portfolio.
  • Oversee all aspects of the development lifecycle — site acquisition, entitlement, design, financing, construction, and disposition.
  • Lead financial structuring, investor presentations, and financing efforts including debt, equity, and joint venture partnerships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with lenders, investors, municipalities, and community stakeholders.
  • Ensure entitlement and permitting processes align with project timelines and company objectives.
  • Establish project performance metrics and oversee reporting to investors and senior leadership.
  • Supervise and mentor the development team, setting goals and building capacity across all levels.
  • Identify growth opportunities, new markets, and partnerships to advance AlphaX’s mission of creating affordable, sustainable housing.
  • Represent AlphaX at industry events, community forums, and with public officials as a senior leader and ambassador of the company.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, or related field (Master’s in Real Estate, Urban Planning, or MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in real estate development with significant leadership responsibility.
  • Deep expertise in entitlements, permitting, financing, and construction delivery within California.
  • Proven success in raising and structuring project financing with lenders and investors.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills; able to represent AlphaX at the highest levels.
