Corporate M&A Associate (Mid-Level) – Fort Lauderdale

JM Networking, LLC is recruiting on behalf of a prestigious global law firm for a full-time Associate (4–6 years of experience) to join the Corporate Practice, Mergers and Acquisitions group in either the Fort Lauderdale or Tampa office. This team advises on high-profile domestic and international deals across sectors such as healthcare, technology, infrastructure, insurance, education, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, and financial services. The firm’s global platform enables seamless, full-service counsel across disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate core transaction documents, including letters of intent, asset purchase agreements, stock purchase agreements, and merger agreements
• Manage due diligence processes, including review of contracts, corporate records, and regulatory materials
• Collaborate with colleagues in tax, regulatory, finance, and litigation to address transaction-related issues
• Participate in client meetings and calls, offering strategic input and updates
• Support closing preparations, including drafting deliverables and ensuring post-closing obligations are fulfille

Qualifications - J.D. from an accredited law school - Admission to the Florida Bar or willingness to become admitted promptly - 4–6 years of substantive M&A and general corporate experience at a national or regional law firm - Strong drafting, negotiation, and project management skills - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-volume practice - Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Preferred Qualifications - Experience with cross-border transactions - Familiarity with private equity deals - Confidence in managing multiple transactions and working directly with clients Application Documents - Resume and law school transcript(s) required
