Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Alexandria, VA 22306 (Virginia nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting : Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Start Date : October 27, 2025 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Nursing Shift : 12-hour day shifts Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1740 - $1860 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Virginia or compact state) BLS Certification (required prior to first shift) ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift) Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience in Med / Surg or acute care Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical support skills Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission Develop individualized care plans with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and deliver direct patient care using the nursing process Initiate discharge planning and provide patient education from admission Communicate changes in patient status to care team members for continuity and safety Supervise and guide Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees Maintain a safe clinical environment by following hospital safety policies and procedures Contribute to unit teamwork and participate in team-building activities Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
