Geotechnical Engineer (3+ years exp req)

Candidate should have a minimum of an E.I. or 3+ years' experience. Responsibilities will include marketing geotechnical services, interpreting field and laboratory test data, and performing engineering evaluations for a cross section of project types (buildings, transportation, dams, offshore structures, earth structures, etc.). Engineer will, also, provide field evaluations for construction projects.

• Job Duties :
• Work with other members of the geotechnical services department including geologists, technicians, drill crews and sub-consultants to deliver exceptional results.
• Prepare geotechnical project work scopes, budgets, and proposals.
• Plan and coordinate field exploration programs including site reconnaissance.
• Perform soil and rock classification.
• Perform geotechnical engineering analysis and calculations.
• Develop geotechnical engineering design parameters and recommendations.
• Prepare geotechnical engineering reports.
• Manage geotechnical engineering projects, including project schedules, budgets, and invoicing.
• Communicate with existing and potential clients.
• Site visits during construction phase to ensure successful implementation of geotechnical recommendations.
• What you need to have :
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with geotechnical concentration.
• EIT or PE license or able to obtain.
• Proficient with writing and reviewing technical reports.
• Valid Driver's license with insurable driving record.
• Able to travel locally to / from project sites.
• Able to work extended hours when workload dictates.
• Able to effectively communicate with internal staff and external clients through in-person, written, verbal, and electronic methods.
