Job Focus Area

The Education Consultant 3 position within the Louisiana Department of Educations Office of Early Childhood-Strategy division is a high-impact role critical to achieving statewide kindergarten readiness. This opportunity focuses on supporting families through a unified early childhood system specifically by leading strategic vision-setting program design implementation and evaluation for coordinated enrollment and the family engagement framework.

Key competencies for success include expertise in strategic planning program leadership policy interpretation of federal and state regulations and providing technical assistance and field support to local community networks and providers. This is an exciting and unique chance to directly influence the long-term vision of early childhood education in Louisiana ensuring all families have better understanding of child development and child developmental milestones. This role will also develop professional development regarding curriculum the early learning development standards and family engagement.

Applicants with the following experience are encouraged to apply :

Minimum Qualifications

Seven years of experience in education teaching or administrative services; OR

Six years of full-time work experience plus four years of experience in education teaching or administrative services; OR

A bachelors degree plus four years of experience in education teaching or administrative services; OR

An advanced degree plus three years of experience in education teaching or administrative services.

Position-Specific Details :

Appointment Type : Probational Promotional or Job Appointment. The person hired for this position is expected to regularly report to the Baton Rouge office. Current permanent classified state employees may be required to accept a probationary appointment if selected.

Career Progression : This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.

Work Schedule : Work hours are Monday - Friday. Work hours will be determined.

Compensation : The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
