Mental Health Associate

Mental Health Associate at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro in San Pedro, CA. This position is Part time and will work 12-hour, Day shift.

The Mental Health Worker serves as a member of the nursing team under the direct supervision of a registered nurse providing direct and indirect care. The Mental Health Worker is responsible for collecting and reporting of information to the supervising RN or Charge Nurse and completion of all patient care related tasks and documentation. Additional responsibilities include ADL's, vital signs, patient observations/rounding and to observe safety risks throughout the unit.

Required Qualifications:

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• Avade training upon hire.
• 6 months of experience providing direct patient care as a MHW in a behavioral health or chemical dependency inpatient, residential or outpatient program/unit.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training
• 1 year of Behavioral Health experience or related experience.
