Objective
The Sales Specialist is responsible for assisting the agency owner with the development and implementation of targeted marketing and lead generation programs to identify new prospects, cross-sell opportunities, and grow the agency in the community.
Marketing and Sales
Organizes and manages the process for identifying market opportunitiesAligns with current brand marketing strategies to ensure continual development of lead generationProspect and generate leads for new business through external marketing, networking and referralsPrepares quotations and applications and delivers effective presentations in order to close salesCommunity Development
Develop a network of community contactsResearches opportunities and manages agency-sponsored special eventsPromotes insurance-related topics and products in the communityEducation / Licenses / Designations
Required by state statutes to have proper insurance licensing to sell, solicit or negotiate insurance products. This position must be licensed in both WI and IL for P&C and Life within 90 days of hire.Valid drivers license and transportation requiredRole Requirements
Ability to work independently towards a weekly / monthly sales plan, set priorities, and organize workActive involvement in the local communityExcellent oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated experience with PC software applications (Microsoft Office Suites, Internet Explorer)Experience with social media platformsPreferred Knowledge / Skills / Education / Designations
Demonstrated knowledge of insurance concepts and principlesDemonstrated effective multi-line insurance marketing and sales experienceCollege degree or equivalent experience in a related fieldWorking Conditions
