Worker- Pediatric Liver Transplant -In and Outpatient -

The Center for
Liver Disease and Transplantation at NewYork-Presbyterian is a
multidisciplinary program dedicated to the treatment of children
with all stages of liver disease. They provide comprehensive
services, including diagnostic testing, medical treatment, surgery,
transplantation, and support

In your Social Worker role,
you will follow all pre, post and current liver transplant
patients, both in the hospital and on outpatient basis. ~400
patients; average 20-25 transplants per year. You will also oversee
all hepatology patients ~3500 per year.
In this
role, you will work with children and their families waiting for
liver transplant. Run peer-to-peer support groups and manage fund
raising efforts to provide financial support to liver transplant
children. You will be part of the team that makes decisions and
cares for those post-transplant children and families, supporting
them through the process. You will help children through the crisis
and ensure the parents care take care of children with complex
needs.
This position is 5 days
a week and includes weekend / holiday
rotation.

Master's Degree in
Social Work (MSW)
New York State License as a
Licensed Masters Social Worker
(LMSW)
