Pay: From $70,000.00 per year Job description: SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST Immediate Supervisors: Early Intervention Coordinator & Executive Director POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for evaluating and assessing children ages birth to 6 years of age, planning and implementing a therapeutic program to enhance their habilitation in an educational, or community setting. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Education: Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competence. Possession of a valid certification for the State of PA as a licensed speech and language pathologist thru the Department of State, Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs. Must be in compliance with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) standards of continuing education and ethics. CFY candidates may be considered. Experience: Minimum one year with pre-school or elementary age students. Other: Requires a valid Driver’s License and must be at least 21 years of age. JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES Instructional Responsible to maintain work schedule as assigned. Responsible to attend all scheduled supervision sessions, trainings, and meetings as directed Student Support Responsible for providing therapeutic support and appropriate interventions to children in specified Responsible for implementing and following child's IEP Clerical Responsible for maintaining complete and concise documentation of all interventions by submitting reports timely and in the agency approved format Responsible for completing daily session notes compliant with the state billing practices Professional Development Activities Attends workshops, conferences and continued education offerings as requested Responsible to work in conjunction with the Early Intervention Coordinator Executive Director, & Family Support Services Manager regarding daily issues and concerns Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all staff, clients and their family Responsible to perform duties in a professional manner in response to clients, co-workers, and situations as they occur Supports an environment which promotes inter/intra working relationships and reinforces the goals and objectives of CDD Promotes objectives by providing cooperative and courteous service to clients, families, visitors and all external customers Interacts professionally with ethnically/culturally/spiritually different people in a sensitive and respectful manner Maintains flexibility across client assignments, work settings and availability in schedule to meet client needs as dictated by the treatment plan B.
