Desktop Support Technician

We are seeking a skilled Tier 2 End User Support Technician to join our Desktop Support team. This role is responsible for providing advanced technical support to end users, ensuring timely resolution of hardware and software issues. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, experience with remote support tools, and the ability to deliver hands-on assistance when necessary.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide Tier 2 technical support for end-user devices, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals.

Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues for state employees.

Perform software installations, updates, and configurations as needed.

Utilize remote support tools (e.g., Bomgar) to diagnose and resolve issues; escalate to hands-on support when remote resolution is not possible.

Document all support activities and resolutions in ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.

Collaborate with Tier 1 support and other technical teams to ensure efficient issue resolution.

Support and manage Apple macOS and iOS devices; experience with MDM solutions such as Intune is preferred.

Maintain compliance with state IT policies and security standards.

Required Qualifications :

Proven experience in desktop support or Tier 2 technical support role.

Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.

Experience troubleshooting hardware (laptops, desktops, peripherals) and software applications.

Familiarity with remote support tools (e.g., Bomgar) and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience supporting Apple devices and mobile device management (MDM) solutions such as Intune.

Knowledge of state government IT environments and compliance requirements.

• Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00 / hr.
