The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in criminal law and demonstrate a commitment to advocating for clients in federal criminal cases. You will be responsible for providing legal counsel, representing clients in court, and navigating the complexities of federal criminal legislation.
Responsibilities :Represent clients in federal court, preparing and presenting cases effectively.Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.Draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and pleadings.Negotiate settlements and plea deals on behalf of clients.Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to build strong case strategies.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal laws and regulations.Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and guidance throughout the legal process.Manage case files and ensure compliance with legal procedures.Qualifications :Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the bar and a valid license to practice law.Proven work experience as a criminal lawyer or in a similar role.Strong critical thinking, research, and analysis skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Ability to analyze complex information and make informed decisions.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle potentially disturbing situations.Skilled in negotiation and conflict resolution.Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team of attorneys.
