American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring a CT or compact license and ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in the Emergency Department of a short-term acute care hospitalLevel I Trauma Center environment with 1,567 staffed bedsAverage patient ratio is 1 nurse to 6 patientsNight shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19 : 00–07 : 30)Every other weekend shift requiredFloating within scope to meet facility needs may be requiredCharting is done using Epic EMR, with experience preferredAssignment is for 13 weeks with possibility of rotation to other campusesTravelers are not assigned to trauma / rescue rooms, triage, or locked behavioral health unitsRoyal blue scrubs are required for this positionPre-start online modules must be completed before beginning assignmentRTO (time off) up to 7 days may be approved automatically; additional time requires approvalParking is available for a monthly feeParticipation in any natural disaster or emergency response activity may be requiredFirst-time travelers are not accepted for this position\n \n Requirements\n
Active CT or compact RN license required (pending license accepted with application in process)Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience preferred; 1.5 years accepted with Level I Trauma Center or travel experienceCurrent ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications requiredTrauma Center experience at a large facility requiredFlu vaccine required with no declinations acceptedCOVID-19 vaccine and booster required, exemptions accepted only for medical or religious reasonsMust provide at least one professional referenceLocal candidates within 75 miles are not eligibleReturn staff must be gone 2 years before being considered\n Benefits\n
