Wieland is hiring an Electrical Service Engineer . The Electrical Service Engineer will support and lead electrical maintenance efforts such as installations, repairs, troubleshooting, and programming activities. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of heavy industrial electrical systems, including high-voltage distribution, motors, drives, furnaces, and process control equipment. The Electrical Engineer will act as a technical leader, mentor junior electricians, and ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations and industry standards. This role is located in Pine Hall, NC and will be fully on-site.

Responsibilities

• Electrical Service Engineer Responsibilities :
• Electrical Maintenance & Reliability - Lead preventive and corrective maintenance on plant electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, power distribution, furnaces, rolling mills, and auxiliary equipment.
• Troubleshooting & Repairs - Diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults, minimizing downtime in a high-production environment.
• Equipment Installation - Oversee installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment, motors, drives, and controls.
• Safety & Compliance - Ensure strict adherence to electrical safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and NFPA / NEC codes.
• Leadership & Mentoring - Supervise and mentor electricians and apprentices; provide technical training and guidance.
• Project Support - Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams on capital projects, upgrades, and system improvements.
• Documentation & Reporting - Maintain accurate logs of inspections, testing, and repair work for compliance and reliability tracking.
• Continuous Improvement - Recommend and implement reliability improvements to reduce unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.
