Medication Access Specialist

A company is looking for a Medication Access Specialist to provide medication access and affordability services to clients and their patients.

Key Responsibilities

Review medication authorizations and perform actions based on client and patient needs

Communicate with patients regarding medication coverage and financial assistance options

Ensure accurate documentation in client EMR systems and support onboarding of medication access specialists

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

3 years of experience in healthcare or with pharmacy providers on medication access

Preferred experience in consulting, client-facing roles, and electronic medical record documentation

Knowledge of Medicare and third-party payer regulations and guidelines

Experience in healthcare revenue cycle, including medication authorizations
