Overview
The Construction Division Manager is a strategic leader who directs and empowers our team of project managers to deliver landscape construction projects that embody G&G's four core values—exceeding client expectations, building long-term relationships, delivering uncompromising quality work, and striving for only the best. Reporting to the VP of Operations, you will define divisional objectives, allocate resources, and establish performance targets that ensure safety, budget adherence, and on-time delivery. You'll foster collaboration across design, sales, finance, and field operations, champion continuous process improvements, and proactively nurture client trust to create enduring partnerships. Your leadership will elevate client satisfaction and reinforce our reputation for excellence in every project.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and mentor the project management team
- Establish and track division KPIs, forecasting backlog and labor needs
- Oversee project workflows : pre-construction planning, scheduling, execution, punch-list, and close-out
- Ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality project execution
- Collaborate with Design / Sales to align construction schedules and deliverables
- Manage change orders and material procurement
- Vet and manage subcontractors to meet G&G's professional standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and reduce costs
- Facilitate weekly team meetings, trainings, and professional development
Client Service
Maintain proactive, professional communication with clients, builders, and partnersLead or attend client meetings to ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecyclePartner to ensure smooth transitions from installation to maintenanceCommunication & Coordination
Collaborate with Project Managers to enforce work standards and safety practicesLiaise between field crews, project managers, and internal departments to resolve issues promptlySupport sales team by reviewing estimates prior to project approvalBuild and sustain strong relationships with internal and external partners, contractors and vendorsOperations & Administration
Provide comprehensive administrative support : correspondence, reporting, documentationAssist with safety documentation, meetings, and compliance trackingCoordinate systems and processes for division-wide efficiencyLead monthly financial reviews : job cost tracking, invoicing, and reportingPartner with HR department for recruitment, onboarding, training and performance documentationWarranty Management
Oversee the warranty coordinator and process warranty claimsTrack warranty costs and ensure compliance with company policyQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, Horticulture, or related field preferred6+ years of landscape construction and installation experience, including supervisory or management rolesProven leadership skills with the ability to train, mentor, and motivate teamsStrong organizational aptitude and financial acumenExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsTech-savvy and adaptable, with a track record of quickly learning and integrating new construction technologies and digital tools to streamline workflows and drive operational efficienciesFamiliarity with Aspire is a plusOur company values individuals with a keen eye for detail, outstanding communication skills, a robust work ethic, a thirst for knowledge, and a can-do attitude.
