About The Position

Job Title : Value Analysis Specialist

Experience : Minimum of one (1) year of cardiac catheterization laboratory experience preferred.

License : Registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R) and / or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist).

Certifications : Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification required within one (1) year of employment.

Must-Have : Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to integrate the analysis of data to discover facts or develop knowledge, concepts, or interpretations. Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner. Ability to be detail-oriented as required in the examination of clinical and numerical data.

Description :

The Value Analysis Specialist supports the value chain analysis process.

This role acts as a key liaison between the strategic sourcing team and clinical team.

It promotes the strategic, cost-effective use of products, services, and processes.

The specialist leverages clinical data to evaluate product value and expenditures.

This evaluation occurs across the continuum of care to uncover cost-saving opportunities.

The focus is on enhancing patient safety, driving quality outcomes, and supporting operational efficiency.

The Value Analysis Specialist leads the team through the Value Analysis process.

This is done under the direction of the Value Analysis Manager.

The specialist ensures the selection and implementation of high-quality, cost-effective products and services.

These products and services align with the organization’s quality excellence expectations and strategic savings initiatives.

The specialist provides direction and counsel to the strategic sourcing department.

This guidance focuses on the clinical aspects of contractual decisions.

The feasibility of initiatives identified by strategic sourcing is determined.

Additionally, the specialist leads the introduction of initiatives to clinical partners.

Collaboration is key, as the specialist cultivates and sustains relationships with end users, vendors, and partners.

The specialist works with clinical leaders to embed cost management strategies within their departments.

This includes guiding program development, data analysis, execution, and evaluation.

The goal is to advance key initiatives and provide opportunities for value enhancement and operational improvement.

The outcomes of implemented product and service changes are reviewed.

The specialist confirms alignment with savings targets and compliance expectations.

Gaps in adherence are corrected, and opportunities for greater efficiency are identified.

Effective collaboration with the Value Analysis Manager is essential to resolve concerns.

The specialist also identifies opportunities related to quality and cost.

The implementation of initiatives is driven by the specialist, overseeing all steps through go-live.

Monitoring and maintaining the integrity of data related to products and services is crucial.

The specialist analyzes trends and compliance metrics.

This analysis helps identify non-compliance and implements targeted improvements.

Partnership with clinical leadership is paramount to address priorities that benefit the organization.

This includes efforts to reduce infections, improve Length of Stay (LOS), and avoid injuries.
