Job Title : Travel Registered Nurse – Med / Surg Telemetry

Location : Salina, KS 67401 (Central Kansas nursing jobs)

Healthcare Setting : 40-bed surgical unit (non-cardiac)

Shift : Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts / week (7 : 00pm – 7 : 30am)

Weekly Hours : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1780 - $1910

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Start Date : October 20, 2025

End Date : January 19, 2026

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Patient Ratio : 1 : 6

EMR System : Meditech (Meditech EMR experience required)

Scrub Color : Navy Blue

Qualifications – Med / Surg Tele RN

Minimum 2 years recent Med / Surg Telemetry RN experience

Active Kansas or Compact RN license required

BLS and TNCC certifications required

Proficiency with Meditech EMR

Must reside at least 100 miles from facility (radius rule)

Professional references required

COVID-19 vaccination required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

No first-time travelers accepted

Former employees of Salina Regional Health Center not eligible

Travel RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to surgical patients (ortho, neuro, trauma, general surgery, urology, pediatrics; excluding cardiac)

Float to 4 Med unit as needed (nephrology, oncology, general medical, dialysis)

Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, wound care, surgical drains, isolation precautions, and rapid response / code interventions

Administer medications (Heparin, Insulin, PCA) and manage respiratory support (CPAP / BiPAP, HFNC, oral suctioning, chest tubes)

Care for patients of all ages : infants, adolescents, adults, geriatrics

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, physical therapy, respiratory, pharmacy, social services)

Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech EMR
