About The Position
Job Title : RN - Telemetry

Shift : 12 Hours - Nights
Hours per Shift : 36 hours guaranteed per week
Experience : 2 years of experience required
License : Active nursing license required
Certifications : BLS, NIHSS
Must-Have :
- Well-versed in cardiac arrhythmias
- Up to date on EKG competencies
Description :
The unit specializes in Neuro / Telemetry care.
Patients include a wide range of conditions, including post-ictal seizure patients and new strokes.
Frequent neuro checks every two hours are required for stroke patients.
Care includes patients who are s / p TPA, TNK, craniectomies, and burrholes.
Elective VEEG patients, where seizures are induced, are also managed in this unit.
Medications administered may include amiodarone and diltiazem drips.
Care for patients who are s / p cardiac caths, pacemaker / ICD placements, and ablations is provided.
IVIG and plasmapheresis are included in patient care as needed.
Overflow MedSurg patients may be managed as required.
Annual completion of 8 hours of neuro education is mandatory.
Holidays and weekends are required as part of the rotation.
On-call availability is needed.
Experiencing in managing cardiac conditions is essential.
