About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : RN (Registered Nurse)

Specialty : Neuro / Telemetry

Duration : 17 weeks

Shift : 12 Hours, Nights

Hours per Shift : 36 hours guaranteed per week

Experience : Minimum of 2 years

License : Active nursing license required

Certifications : BLS, NIHSS

Must-Have :

• 2 years of experience minimum
• Strong knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias and EKG competencies
• Ability to perform neuro checks every 2 hours

Description :

The position involves caring for a wide range of patients.

Patients may include post-ictal seizure patients and new strokes.

Nursing skills required for patients s / p TPA / TNK, craniectomies / burrholes, and elective VEEG.

Nurses will manage amiodarone and diltiazem drips as well as IVIG and plasmapheresis.

The role may also require assisting overflow MedSurg patients as needed.

Nurses must complete 8 hours of neuro education annually.

Holiday and weekend work is required on a rotational basis.

This is a fast-paced environment requiring critical thinking and adaptability.

Candidates with previous license hits will not be considered.
