Data Analyst

Our client is seeking a Data Analyst on a contract to hire basis to join their team! This role will own SQL- based analysis, build refined Tableau dashboards, maintain clean and consistent reporting metrics, and uncover actionable trends that improve conversion, optimize spend, and elevate the customer experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

Build and maintain core BI assets, including dashboards, data models, and scheduled reports, using Tableau best practices and developing executive-ready presentations.

Perform ad-hoc SQL analysis across Shopify, CRM, advertising, and web analytics datasets to answer high-impact business questions.

Analyze marketing and e-commerce performance across key channels (Meta, Google, email, paid media, SEO, social) and recommend actions to improve spend efficiency and ROI.

Train and monitor pretrained AI agents on internal data to enhance accuracy, reduce hallucinations, and align outputs with business needs.

Monitor sales trends and customer behavior to identify opportunities for growth, increased conversion, and deeper engagement.

Support product strategy by creating reports, building visualizations, reconciling multi-source datasets, and conducting ad-hoc market and performance analyses.

Collaborate with analytics engineering to maintain analytics-ready datasets, consistent metrics, and high-quality data through validation and reconciliation.

Lead pre- and post-campaign measurement, highlighting performance drivers and recommending optimization strategies.

Contribute to data cleaning, mapping, and validation processes to uphold data quality and consistency across reporting systems.

Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or relevant analytics role.

Bachelor’s degree required; preference for Master’s in Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.

2+ years analyzing marketing and e-commerce performance, including conversion analysis, attribution, and A / B testing.

Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, Tableau, Google Analytics / GA4, and data visualization best practices.

Experience working with digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Shopify, Meta / Google ad platforms) and understanding of marketing attribution.

Experience in CPG is a plus!
