Stewardship Officer

Penn State is currently seeking a Stewardship Officer in supporting the stewardship and donor engagement goals of Development and Alumni Relations at Penn State Health and the College of Medicinethe University's medical school and the only integrated academic health system serving patients and communities across 15 counties in central Pennsylvania. As a member of the Division of Development and Alumni Relations, you can play an integral role in Penn State's future and contribute to one of the most successful fundraising and alumni relations operations in the country.

Reporting to the Director of Donor Relations and working closely with the Donor Relations team and other staff across Penn State Health, the College of Medicine, and the Division of Development and Alumni Relations, as well as other partners, this Stewardship Officer will :

• Manage the gift acknowledgment process, including releasing gifts through the eSteward gift matrix and downloading all gift segments to prepare templated letters for signature;
• Facilitate connections between benefactors and beneficiaries to help advance donors' connection to Penn State Health and / or Penn State College of Medicine;
• Articulate Penn State Health and the College of Medicine's needs, ambitions, values, and gratitude through excellent informal and formal communications; and
• Recognize and engage alumni and donors by assisting with stewardship reporting, strategic events, and the production of physical recognition installations (e.g., donor walls, named space plaques, or tree / bench / art / equipment sponsorships).

The successful candidate will have :

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree. No prior relevant work experience required; previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education. Required Certifications : None

BACKGROUND CHECKS / CLEARANCES

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks : PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. Penn State does not sponsor or take over sponsorship of a staff employment Visa. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $46,400.00 - $67,300.00. Salary Structure - Information on Penn State's salary structure
