Responsibilities

As the Director of the Emergency Department at Community Regional, you'll lead one of the most dynamic and critical care environments in CA's third busiest ED. This 156-bed department sees over 350 patients a day, ranging from moderate to high acuity, and is supported by a dedicated team of more than 500 clinical and support staff. As part of our Level I Trauma Center and comprehensive burn center the only one between Los Angeles and Sacramento this role places you at the heart of a regional safety-net hospital serving a five-county area. With support from three managers and strong physician partnerships, you'll be responsible for overseeing care delivery, driving performance, and fostering a collaborative, learning-focused environment.

• Lead the development, coordination, and daily operations of the Emergency Services program in alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
• Serve as a key liaison between Emergency Services and critical internal and external partners including trauma services, EMS, physician leaders, education partners, and local agencies.
• Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and patient-centered care, while managing staffing, compliance, and operational excellence.
• Oversee financial performance and long-term planning, including departmental budgeting, growth initiatives, and resource utilization.
