At our company, Product Designers identify opportunities, shape the vision of our products, and ensure we’re delivering highly crafted, honed products that our data analysts, data engineers, and data stewards love. As we continue to develop new products and push our existing products forward, we’re looking for Designers to redefine the future of working with data, from 0 ->
1. Product Designers work on a variety of surfaces like data visualization, code editors, monitoring and alerting, marketplace experiences, collaboration, and more.
YOUR IMPACT :
- Drive a significant, complex, and technical product area forward, shaping vision and owning execution
- Delight customers by designing high-quality AI-forward products that deliver meaningful value and protect and govern sensitive data.
- Champion user empathy in everything you do, evangelizing partners to do the same
YOUR ROLE :
Identify and drive design opportunities by connecting the dots between user and business needsCollaborate and effectively influence your engineering and product partners to design and deliver excellent productsWork end-to-end by identifying opportunities, establishing the vision, and working with engineering to deliver high quality, robust solutionsCollaborate with the broader design team to ensure a seamless product experiencePartner with researchers, data scientists, and product managers to drive solutions by leveraging qualitative and quantitative customer insightsUtilize and extend Snowflake’s Design SystemDevelop strong rationale for design decisions, and articulate your perspectiveApply systems thinking to navigate and solve complex problemsStay abreast of the latest in AI and incorporate the capabilities into the user experienceYOUR EXPERIENCE :
8+ years as a product designerExperience collaborating closely with engineering and product partnersExperience working with data and technical complexityEnd-to-end ownership of meaningful features or surfacesYour end-user advocacy has shaped product experiences you can point toShipped products that have simplified complex workflowsYou have iterated on shipped products based on customer usage and feedbackLead product features or surfaces and balanced long term strategy with short term executionExperience communicating your ideas both upwards to stakeholders and across to cross-functional team membersNICE TO HAVE :
Experience in fast-paced environments with quick delivery and iteration cyclesAbility to work autonomously or with engineering partners to get out of mockups fasterInterest in the data space and cutting edge technologiesExperience with web technologies like HTML, Javascript / React, and CSSCompensation :
