Medical Geneticist for a Full-Time Faculty Position - 12 Miles from NYC

Hackensack University Medical Center is seeking a BE/BC, clinical genetics fellowship trained Medical Geneticist for a full-time Faculty position.

The Genetics Service at the Joseph M Sanzari Children’s Hospital was established in 1979 and has been in the forefront of clinical genetics in northern New Jersey. The service offers a single resource for all genetic services and testing for both children and adults. Patients are seen by board certified medical geneticists and genetic counselors in the areas of prenatal, pediatric, cancer and adult genetics. We provide risk assessment, evaluation, testing, and management as well as supportive counseling. The genetics service is a NJ Department of health designated newborn screening follow up center. Patients benefit from a collaborative approach to treatment that draws on the expertise of HackensackUMC physicians in other pediatric and adult sub specialties.

The Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital provides comprehensive medical and surgical pediatric care in more than 30 specialties, all integrated within a state-of-the-art child-focused facility. It is a major teaching affiliate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-New Jersey Medical School in Newark. We also operate a pediatric residency program in affiliation with UMDNJ and St. George University.
