Description
The Vivos Institute Clinical Assistant will report to the Vivos Institute Administrator. He / she is responsible for all clinical aspects of training, events and patient care. He / she is responsible for contributing to the success of the Vivos Institute through their clinical knowledge and their understanding of Vivos treatment and procedures.
Main Job Duties and Responsibilities
Supports all Vivos Institute Training Events for Vivos Providers
- Prepares clinically for all event trainings
- Room Set Up, Tray Set up
- Ensures there is sufficient tools and materials to support the attendees and clinical training team
- Orders all necessary supplies and stays within budget
- Clinical equipment maintenance, follow manufacture's instructions, trouble shooting, calling for repairs.
Supports Training
Teaches dental assistants attending training sessions as neededAssigns support team to stations as neededUploads cases onto flash drives for traineesSubject matter expert for Dental Assistants attending trainingBreakdown eventSupport breaking down after training and eventsSupport Catering Team as time allows or as neededResponsible for maintaining a safe work environment
Protects patients and team members by adhering to infection-control policies and OSHA protocolsHelps The Vivos Institute manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency medical kit, emergency oxygen, and emergency medical equipmentClinical Equipment and Supply Management
Ensure the proper operation of clinical equipment through preventative maintenance and troubleshootingMaintain an accurate inventory of Vivos supplies, placing orders and verifying receipts as neededKeep the MSDS book up to date and ensure proper handling of safety materialsUse resources efficiently, conserving equipment and supplies where possibleCollaboration and Office Support
Assist other team members as needed, including patient scheduling and administrative supportAssist the Vivos Administrator as needed with clinical and operational tasksAttend weekly team meetings to stay aligned with the Vivos institute goals and updatesPatient Care and Clinical Support
Prepare treatment rooms for patients following prescribed procedures and protocolsWelcome and seat patients in a friendly, kind and caring mannerProvide information to patients and family members about the Vivos appliancesTake necessary records including CBCT scans, digital scans of upper and lower arches, diagnostic photographs and rhinomanometry testsEnter required patient information into the electronic patient chartSchedule patient appointments and manage progress records as directed by the doctor (including follow-up sleep tests, questionnaires, and records)Deliver appliances following Vivos protocols and create excitement in patients about wearing themExplain compliance tools and educate patients / parents as neededEscort patients / parents to the front desk for check-outSterilization and Compliance
Handle sterilization of instruments following prescribed procedures and protocolsMaintain compliance with OSHA infection control policies and HIPAA patient confidentiality standardsAssist the doctor in managing dental and medical emergencies, ensuring CPR certification is currentMaintain and manage emergency medical kits and related equipmentMaintains a clean and sterile area and ensure that the clinical lab is up to standardBuild relationships with doctors across attending trainings at The Vivos InstituteSupports VivoScore at The Vivos InstitutePrepare all VivoScore rings for training events (gather name, DOB and email s so when guests arrive at trainings / events, patient IDs are set up)Subject matter expert all product training and serve as a point person within the company regarding subject matter knowledge of the VivoScore productLiaise with attendees at Vivos training to understand and troubleshoot issues regarding the VivoScore productSanitize and organize VivosScore rings after Event while also maintaining a proper inventoryPrepare reports to share with attendees and VivoScore events.Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
High school diploma, General Education Degree or higherDental Assistant Certification (in states where required - can obtain after hire)Knowledge of computer and relevant software applicationsKnowledge of dental terminology and procedures is helpful but not required at time of hireCustomer service skillsRadiology certification (can obtain after hire)Good interpersonal skillsCPR certification, OSHA and HIPPA Certified (Can obtain after hire)Detail orientedOrganizational skillsKey Competencies
