Healthcare Setting : Labor & Delivery Unit – Women’s and Newborn Services

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) contract

Start Date : December 8, 2025

End Date : March 9, 2026

Contract Length : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36 (every other weekend required)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,780 - $1,910

Unit Size : 4 LDR beds, 10 postpartum beds

Patient Ratios : 3 couplets (mother / baby); 1 : 1 active labor

Electronic Health Record (EHR) : Meditech and Centricity

Dress Code : Galaxy blue scrubs

Labor & Delivery RN Qualifications

Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Kentucky or compact state)

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification

Strong clinical skills in labor and delivery, mother-baby couplet care, and postpartum support

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns

Monitor and assess patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum stages

Perform and interpret fetal monitoring for optimal maternal and infant outcomes

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, effective patient care

Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care best practices

Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Meditech and Centricity EHR systems

Comply with hospital policies and uphold values of honesty, integrity, and respect in all interactions
