Job descriptionTravel OR RN Circulator role involving critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in patient care within the operating room. Collaborate with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, OR Technicians, and other personnel to provide patient care according to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN, regulatory standards, physician orders, hospital and surgical department policies and procedures. Responsibilities include ensuring supplies, timeliness of cases, communication with families, updating physician preference cards, scrubbing and assisting physicians during surgical cases, and supervising personnel delivering patient care. Minimum 2+ years of Operating Room RN experience required. Experience with Robotics, Orthopedics, General Surgery, and Obstetrics / Gynecology required. Shift options : 3x12 hour days from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM OR 5x8 hour days from 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM. Call required : 1-2 nights per week (1st and 2nd call), and 1 weekend every 6 weeks. Operating Room unit with 9 beds. Role involves circulating cases and assisting in surgical procedures. 48-hour guarantees may be requested. Blocked scheduling may be requested. Scope of role includes circulating cases, pulling supplies / equipment for cases. Patient ratio is 1 : 1. Number of beds on unit : 9. Electronic Medical Record system used : Cerner. Scrub color : Green.
