About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic Director of Audit to spearhead the creation and management of a comprehensive, risk-based audit function. This pivotal role involves constructing the audit framework from the ground up, ensuring adherence to global business standards, and leading diverse risk assessments. If you thrive on change management, global business implementations, and working within fast-paced, high-volume environments, this could be the ideal position for you.
The Director of Audit will play a key role in recruiting and developing the audit team, with a focus on preparing team members for leadership roles. A strong foundation in relationship management with global business partners, consultancies, and external audit firms is essential for success in this position. Candidates should possess a BA in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a preference for an MA or MBA. An accounting certification such as CPA, CIA, or CFSA is required.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in an audit function that spans global operations, especially within life and annuity providers. Experience in a co-sourcing environment, managing both internal teams and external consultants, is crucial. We seek an individual with a proven track record in building and leading global teams and a robust background in change management and business implementations from a governance, risk, and control perspective.
