Radar Model Developer
The Opportunity : Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your technical skills with big picture thinking to make an impact in national defense and combat weapon system design? You understand your customer's analysis needs and how to develop the right models for their mission. Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused engineering solution.
As a systems engineer on our team, you'll have the chance to create and assess a variety of military radio frequency (RF) systems using computer-based analytical tools, including the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) analytical framework, MATLAB, and additional in-house tools. The solutions you develop will allow DoD analysts to determine what system attributes and operational tactics improve survivability in simulated future threat environments. These solutions directly impact acquisition and planning decisions made by DoD leadership. You'll develop your skills in critical thinking, data analytics, and operations analysis while gaining experience in constructive modeling and simulation of combat operations.
Responsibilities and Requirements :
You will be responsible for developing digital models of threat radar systems in mission-level models and have knowledge of power-based principles surrounding RF sensing. You should also have knowledge of DoD electronic warfare systems and their capabilities against threat radar systems, as well as intelligence center products and databases used to disseminate information and published assessments.
