You know better than most just how nuanced and tricky a thing it can be to code emails for various clients, browsers and platforms. And this great big massive asset manager needs someone with your perspective and skillset to take its email game up to the next level. If you’re a solid HMTL pro with experience in responsive coding and front-end web development, this is a great opportunity to dig into a position that will evolve as the company grows.

Nitty Gritty

It’s a pretty straightforward gig: You’ll support client marketing programs by building out and deploying email campaigns. That’ll mean good old fashioned HTML/CSS hand-coding like Grandpa used to do, plus plenty of testing across browsers and email systems. You’ll also be expected to gather data and manage clients’ campaign schedules.

But if you’ve got a mind to hunker down and do just one thing, you may not be right for this gig. The company is looking for somebody eager to grow in the role and expand it — particularly with an eye toward A/B testing and customer life-cycle development, but who knows in what other directions you might take it?

Hired Gun Profile

You’ve got a couple of years’ worth of highly applicable experience under your belt (i.e., email development), which includes some good solid troubleshooting work. You’re a talented web designer who’s learned a thing or two about UX along the way. You’ve certainly achieved mastery of the basic tools of the trade — HTML, CSS, ESPs — and at this point in your career you’re the kind of worker people think of when they have a challenge that calls for a quick study, a broad skillset and an independent mind. Communication comes easily to you, and unlike a lot of people who are good at coding, you actually thrive on collaboration and the team vibe.
