Procurement Specialist
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing and executing the end-to-end procurement process across MedVanta. This includes operating the purchasing system to process purchase orders, sourcing and selecting vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. The role also involves monitoring inventory levels, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and budget requirements. The Procurement Specialist plays a critical role in optimizing cost-efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards and timely supply chain operations.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Execute procurement strategies cross-departmental initiatives that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Operate the purchasing system and manage day-to-day purchasing activities, ensuring timely and accurate procurement of goods and services.
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring they meet company standards for quality, cost, and service.
- Conduct RFQ and bid analysis while ensuring best value for the client and alignment with purchasing strategy.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating favorable contract terms to maximize value for the organization.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, maintaining high standards for product quality and service.
- Assess and manage supply chain risks, developing contingency plans to handle potential disruptions.
- Ensure contract compliance by performing regular pricing analysis and supplier review.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, clinical, and legal teams to ensure procurement activities support broader organizational objectives.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, regulatory standards, and ethical practices.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and strategic initiatives to executive leadership.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience :
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field strongly preferred.Minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.Minimum of 4 years of experience utilizing centralized procurement or ERP system. ENVI and / or Sage Intacct experience is preferred.Professional certifications, such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), or equivalent, are advantageous.Experience successfully collaborating across multiple functional areas and departments.Experience successfully innovating in a fast-growing work environment while dealing with ambiguity as a self-starter with integrity and a driven work ethic.Competencies / Required Skills and Abilities :
